6 REASONS TO STAY AT BELMOND CHARLESTON PLACE

Finding the perfect place to stay in Charleston can be overwhelming if you’re unfamiliar with the city. No worries, I’ve got you covered! Here are six reasons to stay at Belmond Charleston Place.

1. Location, location, location

fullsizerender-105When planning a getaway to Charleston, location is everything. You’ll want to be within walking distance to the open-air market, the shops on King Street, and my personal favorite, Rainbow Row. At Belmond Charleston Place, I got all of this and more. Located at 205 Meeting Street, this luxury hotel puts you in the perfect spot to explore the city.

Upon arriving at Belmond Charleston Place, I was immediately greeted by the charming staff. During my stay, everyone was eager to help me make the most of the 3-day trip. The concierges were knowledgeable about the area, and their suggestions were excellent.

3. The décor

fullsizerender-235Not only was I impressed by the staff, but also by the Christmas decorations! If visiting this hotel in December, you’ll come across one of the biggest Christmas villages I’ve ever seen. Complete with multiple sets of trains, this attraction was the delight of many of the children guests (and myself!). Furthermore, the lobby includes a stunning chandelier and staircase leading up to the second floor.

5. FOOD!

fullsizerender-238Food is in all caps above because, well, it deserves to be. Belmond Charleston Place doesn’t house just a hotel, but also three restaurants and various shops. Even though it was raining on the first day of my visit, I was still able to enjoy myself within the hotel without getting drenched. The most well-known attraction within the hotel is likely the Charleston Grill, a four-star restaurant that is acclaimed for its Southern flavor. Some of my favorite foods on the club level included lobster macaroni and cheese, bacon-wrapped scallops, and even sushi!

6. Relaxation is oh-so-easy.

fullsizerender-240If you’re looking to unwind during your stay, make sure to check out the spa on the fourth floor. You can also find an indoor pool, jacuzzi, outdoor pool, and gym on this level!

fullsizerender-244All in all, my experience at the Belmond couldn’t have gone better. The location was impeccable, the food was delicious, and the staff was always attentive. If you’re hoping to spend a few days in Charleston, I highly recommend staying at Belmond Charleston Place.

I couldn’t agree more about the first point. I mean, while the facilities are all great, the pool and so forth, it really is the location that’s important and certainly, the key factor when I decide on any hotel. That being said, the food here does look just a little bit special!
