Hotel Rendez-Vous Batignolles: Boutique Stay in Paris

The Hotel Rendez-Vous Batignolles, located in the 17th arrondissement, is an ideal spot for a budget-friendly stay in Paris. This lovely boutique hotel has everything you need for a short getaway to France’s capital. Plus, it’s walking distance from some of the top attractions in Paris, including the Montmartre neighborhood, Sacré-Cœur, and Moulin Rouge. Based on its price point, welcoming staff, and central location near fantastic local bistros, you’ll definitely want to stay at Hotel Rendez-Vous Batignolles during your next trip to Paris.

Where is Hotel Rendez-Vous located?

Hotel Rendez-Vous is located on Paris’ right bank in Batignolles, a part of the 17th arrondissement. The Batignolles neighborhood is known for its trendy bistros, bars, and shops and is considered to be a more tranquil area. Within Paris, Hotel Rendez-Vous is well-connected, with nearby public transit connecting it to the train station, airport, and top tourist attractions. In fact, the closest metro station, Place de Clichy, is just a two-minute walk from the hotel’s front door. I have included a map below so you can see the hotel’s location!

Hotel Rendez-Vous Accommodations

The hotel’s 47 stylish rooms, featuring herringbone parquet flooring and bright colors, make you feel like you’re a guest in a Parisian apartment. The chambres are on the smaller side; however, you’re visiting Paris to go sightseeing, so the size shouldn’t be a problem at all! For a budget-friendly stay in the city, I was honestly impressed with the space in the room and the layout. I love being able to leave my suitcase open and accessible and had enough room to do at this hotel. Additionally, the wifi was free and worked perfectly! All you have to do to access it is log in with your guest credentials. My husband had an important video call during our stay and we were incredibly happy with the internet connection. All in all, the rooms are ideal for a solo traveler or couples looking to spend a few days in a central Paris location.

When booking a room in a big city like Paris, I know my readers tend to be concerned about the noise. I am happy to report that Hotel Rendez-Vous is a tranquil escape and that my husband and I slept soundly during our stay! All rooms come equipped with blackout curtains, and the bed and pillows were super comfortable. So, you’re guaranteed to get a great night’s sleep at the Hotel Rendez-Vous Batignolles. Rooms also include air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a phone, desk, private bathroom and shower, toiletries from Clarins, a hairdryer, and a bottle of water.

Additionally, I know that cleanliness is also a top priority at the moment. I can honestly say that Hotel Rendez-vous is one of the most spotless hotels I’ve stayed in. Since March, Rendez-Vous has been working on creating new protocols for their re-opening on August 31, 2020. These new procedures include:

  • Rooms are not rented for a minimum of four hours between clients for a very deep cleaning
  • The reception counter now has a plexiglass window
  • You can find hand sanitizer for your use throughout the hotel
  • Frequent and reinforced disinfection every 2 hours in common areas

Attractions close to Hotel Rendez-Vous

Montmartre neighborhood

Montmartre is one of the most popular districts in Paris, mainly due to its village-like charm. The neighborhood has served as a home to many famous artists over the years, including Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh, Pierre Brissaud, Alfred Jarry, Jacques Villon, and more! While in the area, check out the Place du Tertre market, the “I Love You” Wall, and the charming cafés, such as Le Consulat. Montmartre is approximately a 20-minute walk from the Hotel Rendez-Vous Batignolles. Of course, if you’d like to avoid the stairs and hills, you can always hire a taxi!

Sacré-Cœur

The Sacré-Cœur is a gorgeous Roman Catholic basilica that sits perched atop Montmartre Hill. Furthermore, it’s actually the second most-visited landmark in Paris–after the Eiffel Tower, of course. It’ll only take 25 minutes to walk from the hotel to the Sacré-Cœur or a quick 10-minute taxi ride.

Moulin Rouge

Moulin Rouge is a celebrated cabaret in the Pigalle district, best-known for its creation of the modern can-can dance. Nowadays, it entertains visitors from all over the world as one of the most popular tourist attractions in Paris. It only takes eight minutes to walk from Hotel Rendez-Vous to the Moulin Rouge, making it easy to catch a late show and walk home!
